We've Got Feelings Too!

Carolyn B. Matlack, J.D. calls herself one of the fortunate ones. From childhood, she knew what she wanted to do—foster greater kindness between people and animals.

Currently Managing Editor of Animal Legal Reports Services™, LLC, Ms. Matlack combines a law degree with thirty years of international animal health corporate experience. As a result of Ms. Matlack’s efforts, the release of the new Westlaw® Animal Law Tab was announced on March 11, 2006 in response to the research needs of the growing number of attorneys specializing in, and encountering, animal law issues in their practices. She was chosen by The Population Institute to be a representative lobbyist to the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro and is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association.

Carolyn left relative corporate security to obtain a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree at age fifty from Vermont Law School concentrating on Animal Law. We’ve Got Feelings Too was born of her lifelong goal to make a difference for animals. Her background tempers passion with practicality.

Ms. Matlack offers an interactive, audience participation program entitled "Fido's Feelings." She would appreciate hearing how sentient (feeling) property is being used in court.
